** Shares in Handelsbanken SHBa.ST fall around 7% after the Swedish lender reported a bigger-than-expected drop in its quarterly results
** The bank posted Q2 net profit of 5.49 billion Swedish crowns ($565.69 million), missing the 5.88 billion crowns forecast by LSEG-polled analysts
** Handelsbanken's net interest income (NII) also came below estimates, negatively impacted by margins and funding, as well as foreign exchange impacts, Jefferies says
** The brokerage expects a negative reaction from the market on the weaker NII and revenue miss
** Handelsbanken stock was down 7.8% at 0706 GMT, at the bottom of the pan-European STOXX 600 .STOXX index
** Shares of its local rival SEB SEBa.ST rise nearly 2% on Wednesday after the Swedish bank reported its quarterly net profit above expectations
